The purpose of your initial consultation with us at HRC Fertility (HRC) is two-fold; to evaluate your case as comprehensively as possible and to provide you with pertinent information about your care and our program. Please plan to spend two hours with us, as you will be spending quality time with both your physician and nurse coordinator.
Because it is extremely important to obtain as much information as possible, we encourage and invite both partners to attend the initial consultation and bring all past medical records and test results that are pertinent to your care.
Both partners must complete the History section of the Patient Portal before the initial consultation. Your physician will review your health information with you. You will receive instructions on accessing the Patient Portal when you schedule your initial appointment.
Your physician may recommend an ultrasound at your initial visit to evaluate the uterus, ovaries, and antral follicle count.
Prior to beginning treatment, a financial consultation will be necessary. This meeting with our financial counselor is designed to provide you with information regarding HRC’s financial programs, and, if applicable, to understand your insurance coverage.
