Here To Support Your Next Step

HRC Fertility Helps San Francisco Families Grow

At HRC Fertility, we know that reaching out for help can feel like a big step. Whether you are just starting to ask questions or you have been trying to grow your family for some time, our team in San Francisco is here to listen, explain your options, and offer evidence-based care that fits your life.

Your first visit is a chance to share your story, review your medical history, and talk through possible next steps with a fertility specialist. There is no pressure to decide on treatment that day. Our goal is to give you clear information, answer your questions, and help you feel more confident about where to go from here.

During your initial appointment, you will meet with a fertility specialist to review your health history, discuss any prior testing or treatments, and talk about your goals. We may recommend basic bloodwork or imaging to better understand your reproductive health. You will leave with a clearer sense of your options and what a personalized plan could look like for you.

HRC Fertility offers care across multiple clinic locations so patients in and around San Francisco can choose the setting that works best for their schedules. Each site is connected to the same network of physicians, laboratories, and support staff, allowing you to access consistent care even if your needs change over time.

RI Witness And Laboratory Safety

HRC Fertility uses RI Witness, an electronic witnessing system designed to help prevent sample mix-ups in the laboratory. The technology uses radiofrequency identification (RFID) tags to track eggs, sperm, and embryos at each step, adding another layer of verification alongside our existing safety checks.

With RI Witness, every dish and tube is monitored as it moves through the lab, and the system alerts staff if anything does not match the expected patient identity. This supports a controlled environment for your reproductive materials and reflects our commitment to careful, detail-oriented care.

Experience When It Matters Most

Needle-Free IVF Egg Freezing Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) Research and Clinical Studies

Needle-Free In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

Needle-free IVF is an option for patients who are candidates for IVF but are uncomfortable with frequent injections. This approach uses a catheter-based system for certain medications instead of traditional needles, while still following established IVF protocols. Your physician will review whether this method is appropriate for your medical needs and explain how it compares with standard IVF.

Egg Freezing

Egg freezing allows patients to preserve eggs for potential use later, which may be helpful for personal, medical, or professional reasons. At HRC Fertility, your care team will explain the stimulation process, egg retrieval, and storage, as well as how frozen eggs can be used in the future. For more details about our approach, visit our egg freezing page.

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)

Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a procedure in which prepared sperm is placed directly into the uterus around the time of ovulation. IUI may be recommended in certain situations, such as mild male factor infertility, unexplained infertility, or for single parents and some LGBTQIA+ patients using donor sperm. Your physician will discuss whether IUI is a reasonable option based on your specific circumstances.

Research And Clinical Studies

HRC Fertility participates in selected research and clinical studies that aim to improve understanding of fertility treatments and outcomes. When appropriate, eligible patients may be invited to consider taking part. Participation is always optional, and your physician will explain any study details, potential risks, and alternatives so you can make an informed decision.

Who We Are And How We Care

Happy family enjoying precious moments together.

Experience In Fertility Medicine

For more than three decades, HRC Fertility has focused on pairing advanced reproductive technologies with attentive, individualized care. Our physicians and embryology teams have been part of important developments in IVF and related treatments, and we continue to refine our protocols based on emerging evidence and patient feedback.

HRC Fertility was founded with the goal of creating a practice where scientific progress and patient-centered care go hand in hand. Over the years, we have expanded our services, locations, and team while staying focused on careful, ethical use of reproductive technologies.

Innovation With Patient Safety In Mind

We regularly evaluate new technologies and treatment approaches, adopting those that align with strong clinical data and our safety standards. From laboratory systems to monitoring tools, each addition is chosen to support both quality of care and patient experience.

Before introducing a new technology or protocol, we review available research, consider real-world use, and assess how it may affect patients in our practice. This process helps us balance access to newer options with our responsibility to provide safe, evidence-based care.

Inclusive Care For Many Paths

HRC Fertility works with individuals and families from a wide range of backgrounds, including single parents by choice, LGBTQIA+ patients, and people with complex medical histories. We aim to create a setting where patients feel respected, informed, and supported as they explore their options.

We recognize that every patient brings unique circumstances, timelines, and priorities. Your care plan is shaped through conversation, thoughtful assessment, and shared decision-making, rather than a one-size-fits-all template.
